On Sunday, December 2, it took place Project Fénix kite flying, intended for flying kites and collecting books to rearrange “Amigos del Saber” (Knowledge Friends) Library, located in Los Antiguos, Province of Santa Cruz.
The project, led by Rubén Sosa, succeeded in:
- Getting the presence of 12 pupils from the school, who visited Buenos Aires City for the first time, accompanied by three teachers.
- Collecting 13,000 books for the new library.
- Activating sensitiveness and generosity, as hundreds of persons and organizations donated books.
- Arousing emotion, happiness, satisfaction, solidarity among those who participated in the project.
It is only left to organize the transportation of this voluminous treasury to its destination. If you know somebody who has a truck and dares to travel together with Neruda, Cervantes, "Lo sé todo" , and a pair of lost kite flyers, please, do not doubt in writing Rubén. Thank you!
