On Tuesday, April 20, it was conducted a workshop at Colegio Ward from Ramos Mejía, with the attendance of 43 children from first year, as part of the schedule for the kiteflying on May 30, in front of Garraham Hospital, for Organ Donation and the Worldwide Day for "Non-Tobacco".
We wish to thank the School, its directors and professors for opening their doors and "lending" us their children for the workshop. Rúben Sosa, Osvaldo Figini and me, Roberto Cassanello, were the instructors.
Last Sunday, April 18, we attended the opening of "Dr. Juan Carlos Chingoto Kitedrome". Dr. Chingoto was the founder of the Kite Club in Olavarría. As participants, we had a twofold honor: To inaugurate something unusual and to pay homage to a man through his son's work, Néstor. We wish to thank the whole community for their warm reception. Two kite workshops were carried out at Vélez Sársfield Club Highschool, preparing for the kiteflying to take place on May 30 in front of the Garraham Hospital for Organ Donation and the Worldwide Day without Tobacco, organized by Dr. Rubén Sosa.
In the morning, 80 children participated, and in the afternoon, 84. Víctor Derka, my wife Betty, Rubén and me were the instructors. Eleonora Figini -Biology professor- and her father Osvaldo (83 years old) organized the workshop.
The school personnel helped us, and it's worth mentioning that the workshop resulted a real example for its organization and children's behavior, everybody showed good mood and enthusiasm to do things well. Very pleasing. Many thanks to Vélez Highschool for the opportunity they gave us to demonstrate that with a kite you can educate, teach, and have fun. Many thanks to professors and children, too.
Under Diana Ross direction, the Exhibition Open Sky 2004 that took place in San Carlos de Bariloche City, was a real success.
During five days, it could be enjoyed an important number of models built by adults and children, apart from several panels with additional information and kitemaking workshops. We received a complete gallery of images.
