¡Gracias Rosario!
On the weekend of August 18 and 19, BaToCo participated in the 7th. Kite Festival “Let’s Paint Rosario Sky 2007” organized by the Municipality of Rosario (Province of Santa Fe) and Mundo Hobby, event that takes place year after year, run by Susana Fandiño and Ariel Carnevali, to whom we thank for their hospitality and the comradeship and good-fellowship demonstrated all the time.
This year, thanks to the organizers’ effort, Peter Dolphin attended the Festival, providing an international touch to the party and becoming the event star with his well-known kites. There were also the giant kites -vedettes at international festivals-, which crowned the sky as the public watched the color display that these kites represented in the sky immensity, bodily shaped by the wind, in fading shades
An event including much color, much work by its organizers, and much patience this year, in view of the weather diversity and, above all, the light wind to fly kites. It’s also worth mentioning the workshops conducted to bring children and their families closer to the art of building paper kites; again, with the organizers’ effort, enabling children from different zones in Rosario to have the possibility of learning how to make their own kite, a task promoted by them, to let everybody enjoy their flying toy.
BaToCo gladly participated once more in this event, a party for friends and route pals. This party started some years ago, with gentlemen like Víctor Derka, Héctor Cesaretti and Roberto Cassanelo. It is in these events that Roberto’s leadership stands out, proving that he exercises it not by chance but rather because it is the place for a person like him, from whom one learns, experience after experience, about the love for kites, about the teamwork attitude, the respect for the family, friends and good habits. It’s a honor to share with him BaToCo’s roads, while he teaches us about life twists on land, observing the magic that kites produce. Not forgetting about the presence of people like Betty, Pampita and other route mates who help stand the weather rigors, sharing with us their wisdom and those “details” that the group won’t forget in their trip.
A deluxe guest was -no doubt- Fernando Atilio Traverso, artist who visited BaToCo to fly the kites built by Lucas and Roberto, his bike stencil.
The most emotive moment was when “La Banderola” and other native kites were flying, intoning “Aurora”, and, all of a sudden, the sky opened and let us see the last sunrays on that Sunday.

GRACIAS ROSARIO... GRACIAS MUNICIPALIDAD DE ROSARIO Y GRACIAS AL PEQUEÑO GIGANTE DE ARIEL QUE EMPUJA Y REMPUJA TODOS ESTOS AÑOS.
GRACIAS DE NUEVO
Un abrazo,
Roberto
